Marble dust from Waterflow, sieved over a template of a howling bitch in an underground car park in Chinatown. It was for the Year of the Dog celebrations.

I carved the tall vertical sculpture during a three week symposium on Anguilla in the Caribbean. The stone is the local coral limestone. We were three sculptors (Alexandra Harley, Jon Barlow Hudson and I) all working with stone from the same quarry.

One of those pieces that arrive in the brain from somewhere, that are a logical progression of other work. Looks great with light coming in from the side/top/underneath.
Fabricated steel
The steel rings are left raw and unpainted. The looped section has a glow of red behind it. The piece looks quite biblical to me, sort of 'Day Two' of the creation of the earth in the book of genesis. Strong stuff that steel.
